What a mess.
I will say that the loan process was relatively easy, and I will give credit to the very nice girl who helped me get my loan. After opening the loan the company was a nightmare to deal with. When I called them they could never find my account because they spelled my last name wrong and refused to correct it, then they continuously told me that my account was also connected to someone named Kenneth. I do not know anyone named Kenneth. About 6 months after taking out my loan I started having major problems with my car. Therefore, I decided to trade my car in and purchase a new vehicle, since my income allows me to do so. I purchased a new vehicle from a large reputable dealership on September 25th 2012. The dealership promised to have my loan paid off by October the 12th 2012. So, I purchased my new vehicle and left my old car as a trade in and I totally forgot about Trading Financial. Today is November 21st. Yesterday I got a call from Trading Financial, yet they left no message. I called them back to find out why I am being called by them and I was continuously transferred to a voicemail greeting. This happened no less than three times. I called back the fourth time and I am told by the customer service rep. that I am in collections and my account is 50 days late. What?!@&?! I ask "are you serious" and he says "yes we are serious, commonwealth Audi never sent us a payment". So I hang up the phone and proceed to call the dealership to ask them why they never made the payment for my payoff as they had promised. They told me that it was after hours and that they were going to get to the bottom of the problem in the morning. Right after hanging up with the dealer I called Trading Financial back and I am transferred to a supervisor who says that he can explain the whole situation. He tells me that actually, on October 8th, their building was burned down to the ground, and that the check they received from the dealer was "fizzled to the ground in the fire". What?!@&?! I ask him " Then why did someone just tell me 45 minutes ago that my account was 50 days late?" He says "I'm not sure, they must have been misinformed." Wait. It gets better. The dealership called me this morning and left me a message. They said that the check to Trading Financial was mailed out on October 4th. They said that the check was cashed by Trading Financial on October 12th. What? Trading financial cashed the check on October 12th and they are calling on November 20th to ask for payment? Wow.
