I am a little disappointed to read all the bad reviews and the blame game that follows.
I, like most others that have to take these loans, knew everything going in. I read the contract. They walked me through it. They gave me a paper that listed out EXACTLY how the payments would work. They explained the high interest. They explained how much I would actually pay if I kept the loan for the entire duration. They explained that I should really consider paying it off fast as that would be the best thing and I wouldn't be penalized for it. I heard them explaining it to many people there for the same kind of loan as well.
But even if they just handed me paperwork without saying a word, it is still MY responsibility to read it, ask questions and understand what I am doing.
I was shocked with how much I would be paying but I was in a bind and had to do it. This was MY choice. I was never duped. I needed help and that's exactly what I got. Help. Sure, there were draw backs but it IS a company. A company, of course, needs to make profit in order to survive and be fruitful. Imagine if they made exceptions for every sad story they hear on a daily basis...they would be out of business.
Life DOES happen to all of us. Me as well. Things have happened that I had to get creative on how I would pay the loan on time but I have made sure to pay it on time every month and have NEVER gotten a reminder call and neither has any of my references. Overall, this is MY responsibility to stay current and proactive.
You cannot get upset about a company making you follow through on a financial commitment that YOU made. Take responsibility for your actions and stop pointing fingers.
I am thankful that I had this help when needed. I have no family and no one else to ask for financial help when issues come up. I hope to be able to pay this loan off completely within the next two months and hopefully never need it again. Not because you all are terrible, but because you helped me not need it again.
