We were in town for my recently deceased Mother's memorial and I scheduled 24-7 Ride for my son on Saturday November 12, 2011 for his return trip to LAX. The reservation was confirmed for pickup on Sunday November 13, 2011 at 4:40 AM. At 4:20 AM, 20 minutes before the scheduled pick-up, we received a phone call from the driver informing us he was having mechanical problems and was unable to contact his supervisor so he would be unable to make the pick-up. No alternative solution was offered other than we should probably call a taxi. After a few frantic calls to taxi companies we were finally able to obtain a pick-up at approximately 5:15 AM at a much higher cost than the contracted service with 24-7 Ride. After a very stressful morning and drive to the airport, my son made it to his flight with only minutes to spare. I have yet to hear from 24-7 Ride, not even a simple apology, after 3 emails to customer service regarding this situation.
I find this level of service unacceptable.
