DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, THEY ARE LIERS,SCAM ARTIST AND HAVE NO PROFESSIONALISM.....7/22/2010
American Eagle movers located in Deerfield beach, FL called me on June 1,2009 stated they have the lowest rate for a out of state move to Chicago, IL, which was quoted as $1497.00 and I would have to pay until the move was completed. I called the office in August 2009 to inform them that I need them to hold my belonging until I could pay to have them move my house hold goods. I was advised that it would be $150.00 per month which I have been paying since 7/1/2009. I have been in contact with them providing the updated addressed and if I was going to be late on my storage what date I would pay them. In December I was 25 days late and they have threaded to auction my belonging. They where very rude and nasty over the phone and even used profanity with me, I couldn’t do anything at the time because I was in Chicago so I paid them three days later the monthly fee which is $150.00. After this event they advise me that I would be charged late fee which where never discussed in the being of $15 per week if I didn’t pay my storage by the 3rd of each month. I spoke with Mark (Sales Rep) and he told me that he would add the late fee onto the back end of my contract, which I agreed.

I was late on my storage again in April, May and June, but I contact Steven (collections Rep) on April 6 2010 and provide him with a payment plan which was accepted. However being that I was unemployed for a while, I landed a job in May 2010 and called Steven on May 20, 2010 to advise him of my pay dates and to update my new address in the system. I received my check on May 20, 2010 and called Steven back to make a $300 payment for April & May and he advises me that they need $425 which included the late fee. I requested that he sends me an invoice stating how they calculated the $125.00 extra in late fees, never received an invoice. Call back on June 2, 2010 and spoke with the Robert Vonic to determine why they haven’t send me a statement and discussed the total due, Robert informed me that the balance including the late fee was $600.00. I advise him that Steve said I could pay the $425.00….Robert immediately started tell me to just come get my shit because he tired of wasting storage space. I didn’t respond, but I asked him how did the bill incur these entire late fee, his response was I need the $600.00 in ten days and if payment is not received he will auction my storage unit.

I called Robert on June 5th still trying to pay the $450.00 for the past due and provided Mark the sale rep with my credit card because Robert was in the office. I called 4days and left over 10 message’s and finally received a voice male from Steven on June 9th 2010 stating if I don’t pay the $600.00 by June 17, 2010 they will auction my storage.
Call back several day and finally Mark answered the phone on June 11, 2010 and he advise me they moved to a new location and the phone systems where down. Again I have no idea how they calculated $150.00 in late fee again I left another message alone with my credit card advising to charge $450.00, However I call back on the June 15th because they didn’t charger my card and left a message. I ask my Mother to call on the June 15th 2010 later in the evening because I was at work, she spoke with someone at the moving company and they provided Robert Vonic cell number. She call and spoke with Mr. Robert Vonic the owner to understand why he keeps increasing the amount and the letter that stated they where going to auction my storage unit and he was rude and told her that my storage was already sold and he sent the letter to Chicago, IL. I call him back at 4pm and he advised me that he couldn’t do anything my belonging where sold….I pleaded with him and he bruised me off…..Very rude and lied about the auction date and I still haven’t received an invoice. I continued to call and spoke to Mark on June 18, 2010 the sale rep and he advised me that my belonging have not be auction to come in on the 7/20/2010 to meet with Robert Vonic, but call before you come because he has been going through personal problem and hasn’t been in the office that much….I proceed to call all day on Monday and today June 22,2010 and still pleading with Robert Vonic that I have the $600.00 and he told me it had already been sold and by law he could have auction my unit in 30days with no notification.

I feel this company scammed me from day one, I have never been to there sight nor have I received an invoice in the mail during the entire 12 months. I believe the took my money each month and liquidated my unit prior to being past-due. These guys are liars and they have moved several times in the twelve months and spoken to many employees’s that are no longer working for the company. PLEASE INVESTGATE THIS COMPANY, ALSO I NEED A REFERAL TO A LAWYER IN POMPANO BEACH, FL. PLEASE CONTACT ME FOR ADDITIONAL QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS:
