American Interbanc was the worst decision we ever made. We have excellent credit and no debt and we were trying to finance a second home with American Interbanc. We were dealing with them for many months as the property was a short sale. Lynne G at American Interbanc was an incredible flake!
They were so unprofessional. They pulled financing on the day of close! Then they tried to renegotiate and increased both the fees and interest rate at the last minute because they knew we were desperate to close. I have never dealt with such an unprofessional business in my life. We ended up having to scramble at the last minute and pay cash or we would have lost the house. DO NOT use this mortgage company, they are the epitome of bait and switch! We checked them out on BBB and Bankrate before we chose them. BIG MISTAKE!
