After deciding to replace our kitchen cabinets, my wife and I elected to employ an independent contractor rather than a larger business. During our search, we found Carlos, of Charlie’s Woodwork. From the onset, Carlos was amazing. He came to our home and met with my wife the same day she called and even returned later in the evening to meet with me. He was extremely punctual and polite, and engaged us in conversation aimed at soliciting our exact cabinetry needs.
Throughout the process, Carlos worked around our schedules, including evenings and weekends, and called us frequently to update us on the status of his work. Periodically he would bring us finished samples for our approval, and he was exacting in meeting our requests. Even after beginning the project, when he encountered something that he believed did not look or work as good as he though it could, Carlos would contact us and offer us the opportunity to change our mind—amazing customer service.
When installing the cabinets, Carlos was meticulous. He would tirelessly measure and re-measure to ensure perfection. When he believed that he could not achieve perfection, he apologized profusely. After hours of trying to fix something he perceived as imperfect, getting a corner to line up within less than 1/16th of an inch (even after pointing it out, my wife and I couldn’t see it), I had to send him home to eat dinner and be with his family.
Once complete, the cabinets are beautiful. Carlos’ work was flawless and everyone who sees them raves about the work. I cannot recommend Charlie’s Woodwork enough. His prices are highly competitive, his customer service is unchallenged, and his work is impeccable. I do not believe that my wife and I will use anyone other than Charlie’s Woodwork for our future woodworking needs.
