Review 11/8/2011
I rented an apartment LOFT_WASHINGTON in the end of August - beginning of September 2011. We were party of 4 adults so my first question was to have at least separate bathroom and toilet. It was the complete misrepresentation. There is no clear description of the facilities. I believe that only a person with huge imagination can call 1 1/2 bathrooms: a bath tab sitting in the master bedroom separated by clear see-through glass from shower and toilet and a bidet on the second floor suited in the corner without as much as a curtain. This apartment is described as an exceptional loft fully equipped but we have found broken handles, unworkable DVD, dishwasher, phone. I must be fair the location is exceptional. There are plenty of shelves but only on the second floor. So overall there was lack of privacy for everybody. This apartment was a huge disappointment and definitely was not worth the money we paid for it.
But our issues with Imarketers.Net Inc. still continue. We came back on September 5, 2011 and our security deposit still has not been return. First I was told that it would be return 30 days after our releasing the premises. When this timeframe was gone I was told that I would receive my money back as soon as accounting department would issue a cheque. I was not satisfied with this explanation but my last 3 emails remains unanswered. I did not see other solution how to file a complaint with BBB. At least this action forced Imarketers.Net Inc. to react. The answer that I received was that the company was holding my security deposit for over two months because there was hidden damage to the apartment NOT RELATED TO OUR STAY and now money released and would be returned according to company policy timeframe. Plus since I am in Canada it could be longer. We past this timeframe twice by now and I still have not seen the cheque. I guess for business located in Florida Canada seems to be somewhere around Moon definitely not a 3-5 business days that regular mail takes.

Business's response - by Peter v.on 11/16/2011
The property in discussion is worth more than 1.5 bil and it is just amazing, always fully booked months in advance. The description that Gina T offered is unreasonable and we have multiple feedback from previous guests that show us that the property is an excellent choice. The description on our website is accurate and we advise our guests, on their lease, that they should request written explanation about anything related to the property that they did not find explicit enough. We did not have such a request in this case. We can understand that people have different standards and the European apartments are different from the ones in US, but in this case, the guest's remarks are simply unreasonable and can potentially affect other travelers that should enjoy this particular luxurious apartment which was the property of an important French artist.About the SD refund: UsaParis has handled the local Property Management back to a local Property Management Company in Europe, named HomeInTown. We have seen that the apartments were unfortunately not being treated well by a minority of customers. To bring this situation to an end, HomeInTown is applying a strict policy and checks out in detail each apartment carefully, before delivering the clearance. The renter has fully acknowledged the situation of a private rental and of the go-between position of UsaPAris in between them and the owner or his representative. Also has acknowledged that the French Laws are applicable here and accordingly the owners are legally entitled to hold the clearance of SD for up to 3 months after the departure. In many cases, there are hidden damages situations that need to be investigated, renters having unfairly tried to get away with a situation that they had the legal obligation to report. Customers have a mediation service at their disposal, to explain their p.o.v. It is unacceptable that their way of handling the situation is by posting bad reviews and ignoring the rules and regulations.
