I have attempted to order from this company twice over the course of my life.
The first was in 2003. I ordered a size small Throwdown T-Shirt from the site. I received a confirmation email after placing my order, and my card was charged. I did not receive a tracking confirmation after a week, and at 14 days past the date of the order being placed there was still no activity on the part of my order. I finally emailed the company after two weeks and did not receive a reply for five days. The reply stated that the item was out of stock and I received a refund three days later. All told the time between placing my order and receiving a refund for an "out of stock item" totaled 21 days, and the refund was only issued after I requested information about the order. I can only assume that my money would have been kept had I not brought the issue to their attention.
The second (and most likely last,) time that I placed an order was roughly two weeks ago. I placed an order for a piece of outerwear For The Fallen Dreams merch through their "Mystery Bin" promotion. Again, received an email confirmation of my order and my card was charged. No activity after five business days (it says to allow time to process the order, so I gave them the benefit of the doubt.) I did receive a tracking number, but the tracking marked it as "Pre-Shipment Info Received By UPS" for the whole time. Two days later, I received an email stating that the item was out of stock and was issued a refund.
The issue I have with the second order was that For The Fallen Dreams has SEVEN individual pieces of outerwear listed on MerchConnectionInc, and apparently none of those SEVEN pieces had a size small. Not to mention that not a single one of them was (or indeed is,) listed as being out of stock in that style, which leads me to believe that I was either lied to or there are likely several other people facing the same fate.
How does a company that lauds itself as doing in-house screen printing and embroidery EVER be "out of stock?"
I will not be placing an order through Merch Connection Inc. until I read that they've cleaned up their act.
