I signed up to have help with my mortgage in August 2010. I am an elderly man and live on my own and cannot work because i was injuried in a car accident. I was scared of losing my home because i could not afford to make my monthly payments anymore and i could not work because of my injuries. The girls at NL were so nice and helpful. They always took my calls and kept my lender off my back. But i was still scared because my lender put a sale date on my home and it was for January. I was very nervous but i trusted NL to work something out. Next thing i know I was approved for a modification on November 8, 2010. I was so happy to know i do not have to find a new place to live. i did not have a high mortgage to begin with but it was still too much for me to pay on my own. My original Payment was around $920 and now its $780 and it includes my insurance and taxes. and my interest rate is down at 4%. I was past due by over $7,000.00 and now that money was put at the end of my loan and they took off my sale date. I do not have to make a mortgage payment until January. I am so happy with the service i was provided and i hope other people have good results just like me.
