NEVER HIRE THIS MOVING COMPANY!!! This company is dishonest and unprofessional. They did EVERYTHING wrong except for one thing: it took them a reasonable amount of time to drive to the new location from the old. Otherwise, the whole experience was a nightmare. After booking my move, I was sent a confirmation email listing the date and time (a 2-hour window between 8 and 10 AM) of the move and the hourly rate ($75) for 3 men and 1 truck. When I called the day before moving day to confirm, I was told that there was no record of my reservation on the correct day and that my move was scheduled 2 weeks later. Acting like she was doing me a favor, the representative on the phone scheduled me for the correct day, but later (between 12 and 2 PM). The next day, moving day, the movers arrived at 3:30 PM. I was disgusted, but with everything already packed, I really didn't want to stay there and postpone the move so I could hire someone else. They took 3 hours to load our already-packed stuff (I think my boyfriend and I could have done the loading in less than 2 hours), and for most of the time only 1 or 2 of the 3 men were actually working. They tossed a lot of our furniture over the upstairs balcony instead of carrying it downstairs. Then, there was the fee. They told me I had agreed to ("signed for," even) a fee of $85 per hour, even though I still had the confirmation email showing the $75 rate I had actually agreed to. Classic bait-and-switch, definitely illegal. Again acting like it was a big favor, the manager agreed to charge only the $75 per hour we had originally agreed upon. We finally arrived at our new home and were told that unloading the truck would take 2.5-3 hours, even though all they were doing was pulling everything off the truck and putting it down on the driveway a few feet away. I disagreed, but it didn't seem to matter. We moved everything into the place from the driveway ourselves. They left an hour and 45 minutes later, meaning we paid for 45 minutes after they'd already left. By then, it was after 10PM and I had to move things into the place, unpack, and get settled, then leave for work at 7AM the next day. We found that most of our furniture was scratched and damaged; 2 months later we're still fixing things. Save yourself the trouble and call a REPUTABLE mover, or use U-Haul.
