Review 10/29/2010
Avoid this company!!! I had a great saleswoman come to my business in May 2009. I don't charge many transactions, and wanted a simple Virtual Terminal service without the headaches and the surprise PCI Compliance Fees that are not mentioned in most contracts. I signed up for $10/mo stating NO Compliance Fees. Then the extra fees started kicking in. They fraudulently added fees for "iAccess" online access about 3 months in -- I called in, said they would refund the charges, but never did. Then they tried to bill me for $129 for the annual PCI Compliance Fee. (They also will mail their notices about 3 weeks after they date it so you only have about 3-5 days to proactively respond). Customer Service said PCI Compliance Fees are not part of Compliance Fees. Thankfully my saleswoman intervened for me. However, without notice, I started getting extra fees for not being PCI compliant. This company charges you first, withdraws the money from your account, and then you get a statement a couple of weeks later with absolutely no explanation of the charge. Then you get to call in, waste 30 to 60 minutes on the phone, get promised they will refund the extra fees, but never will. I tried to comply with their PCI Compliance process, but a scan of my company's network kept failing in October 2010 where it passed with flying colors in May. I could not get a straight answer on what to change on my network from ComplyGuardNetworks, their contracted PCI compliance vendor, and then they wanted to start charging $20 per scan and CPS was starting to charge $30 each month I was not in compliance. WATCH OUT FOR THE FINE PRINT in the contract!!! My saleswoman stated it was a one year contract, but it was actually 3 years with a $350 cancellation charge in year one and $250 thereafter. Their contract also states they can change the Terms of the contract at any time and you have no recourse. I would say this company is borderline FRAUDULENT. Over the last 18 months all my clients insisted paying by check. I'm sure CPS would have made sure none of my transactions would come through "Qualified" and hit me with 5% or so rates. Go find another company!!!
